What's at the campground

Everything here is open to every guest, whichever site you book.

  • Two bathhouses

Hot showers, flush toilets and sinks. Bathhouse 1 by the lake also has the laundry room.

  • Camp store and office

Ice, firewood, propane fills, basic groceries and the things people forget, like tent stakes.

  • Beach and canoe dock

A sandy beach with a roped swimming area. Canoes and kayaks to rent by the hour from the dock.

  • Playground and lawn

Swings and a climbing frame by loop B, and an open lawn for ball games next to the beach.

  • Fenced dog run

Off-leash space at the south end of the park, with a bag station and a water tap.

  • Wi-Fi at the store

Good on the store porch and in the laundry room. Patchy on the loops, and mobile signal is weak by the lake.

There's no lifeguard at the beach. Children in the swimming area need an adult with them.

Park rules, quiet hours and pets

The rules most guests ask about. Your confirmation email has the full list. Sample rules

Quiet hours
10 pm to 7 am. Voices low, music off, and car doors closed gently. Generators can run from 8 am to 8 pm.
Check-in and check-out
Check in from 2 pm and check out by 11 am. Arriving after the office closes at 8 pm? Your site tag will be on the board by the gate.
Campfires
Only in the fire rings, and put out with water before bed. When the county posts a burn ban, fires stop and we tell every site.
Firewood
Buy it at the store or from a seller in town. Wood brought from far away can carry insects that kill trees.
Visitors
Day visitors are welcome until 9 pm with a $5 day pass from the office. Visitors park in the lot by the store.
Driving
5 mph on every road in the park. Watch for children on bikes.

Bringing a dog

  • Dogs are welcome on every campsite and in cabins 3 and 4, up to two per site.
  • On a leash no longer than 6 feet everywhere except the dog run.
  • Never left alone at a site or in a cabin.
  • Not on the beach or in the swimming area.
  • Pick up after your dog. Bags are at the dog run and the store.

10 pmQuiet hours start. Sound carries a long way across the water at night.

Common questions

Anything else, call the office on (555) 017-4418 between 8 am and 8 pm.

Can we choose our site number?

Yes. Put the site number in your request. Guaranteeing a particular site costs $10 per stay. Without it we give you one of the same type.

Will our RV fit?

Loop B takes rigs up to 35 feet and loop C up to 45 feet, measured bumper to bumper. Tell us your length and we'll pick a site that fits with your slide-outs.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel 14 days or more before arrival and we refund everything except a $15 fee. Inside 14 days we keep the first night.

What do we need to bring for a camping cabin?

Sheets or sleeping bags, pillows and towels. The mattresses, a table, a small fridge and a porch light are there. Cooking happens outside on the grill or fire ring.

Is there a minimum stay?

Two nights on summer weekends and three on holiday weekends. Weeknights and the early and fall seasons have no minimum.
