Check-in, pets and cancellations

The house rules, so nothing comes as a surprise on the day. Sample policies

Check-in
3:00 to 8:00 pm at the front desk. Arriving later? We text you a door code and leave your key in the room.
Check-out
By 11:00 am. Ask at breakfast for a 1:00 pm check-out ($25) when the room isn't needed that day.
Pets
Dogs are welcome in the Garden Room and the Bunk Room, up to two per room, for $30 a stay. We leave a bed, bowls and a towel.
Cancellation
Free up to 7 days before you arrive. Inside 7 days we keep the first night, unless we re-let the room.
Children
Welcome in every room. Cribs are free; ask when you book so we can set one up.
Quiet hours
10:00 pm to 7:00 am. The walls are old and the floors creak, so we ask everyone to keep it down.

Getting here

The last few miles are on a winding two-lane road. Give yourself daylight if it's your first visit. Sample directions

By car

Leave the interstate at the state road exit and follow it 18 miles into town. We're on the left after the bank, with parking behind the house.

By plane

The nearest regional airport is about 50 minutes away. Rental cars are at the terminal, and we can give you the number of a local driver.

In winter

The town plows Main Street early. If snow is forecast we'll email you the day before about road conditions and chains.

Questions guests ask before booking

Is there an elevator?

No. The Garden Room is on the ground floor with step-free entry. The other rooms are up one flight of stairs, and we're happy to carry bags.

Can you cater for food allergies at breakfast?

Yes. Tell us when you book. We cook gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian breakfasts most mornings.

Do you have air conditioning?

Every room has a ceiling fan and a window unit for the few hot weeks in summer. Nights here are usually cool.

Can we book the whole inn?

Yes, for family gatherings and small retreats. Send the dates through the form and say it's for the whole house.

Is there somewhere to charge an electric car?

There's one charger in the lot, first come, first served. Ask at check-in and we'll move cars around if we can.

Ask about your dates

Send your dates and the room you'd like. We reply by email with what's free and the exact price, and hold the room for 24 hours while you decide.
