What we do
Homes, rentals, shops and small offices. We don't work on cars.
-
Lockouts
Locked out of your home or shop, or a key snapped off in the lock. Most doors open without damage. If yours can't, you hear that before anything is drilled, along with the price of a new lock.
- Home and apartment doors
- Shop and office doors
- Broken keys pulled out
- Locks that turn but won't open
-
Rekeying and lock changes
Just moved in, lost a set of keys or had a tenant leave? Rekeying changes the pins inside the lock so old keys stop working. The hardware stays on the door.
- Rekeying after a move
- Every door on one key
- Spare keys cut on the spot
- Worn locks replaced
-
New locks and deadbolts
A deadbolt added to a door that only has a knob lock, or a tired lock swapped out. Buy the lock yourself, or we bring a few options to choose from.
- Deadbolts for wood and metal doors
- Keypad locks
- Strike plates fixed with long screws
- Sliding door and gate locks
-
Small business access
Keys for a shop, office or small building: who opens which door, and a quick rekey when someone leaves with a key.
- Master key plans
- Keys that can only be copied with your card
- Rekeying when staff leave
- Stockroom and cash office locks
-
Safes
Home and office safes opened when the combination is lost or the lock fails, and new combinations set while we're there.
- Locked safes opened
- Combination changes
- Dial and keypad lock repairs
- Safes bolted to the floor
How pricing works
A call-out fee you hear on the phone, then a total for the job that you approve at the door. Sample prices
- The call-outCovers the trip and the first look at the lock.
- A total at the doorThe locksmith sees the lock and the door, then gives you one price for the whole job, parts included.
- Your decisionSay yes and the call-out is part of that total. Say no and you pay the call-out only.
Why we don't quote the full price on the phone
The same front door can take five minutes or forty-five, depending on the lock, the door and whether the deadbolt is thrown. We'd rather look than guess. If anyone gives you a low price on the phone and a much higher one at your door, you're free to say no.
Evenings until 9 pm add $45. The outer villages add $20 for travel. Every figure here is a sample for a concept site.
| Job | Call-out included |
|---|---|
| Open a locked home or apartment door | $95 to $165 |
| Rekey one lock | $95 to $130 |
| Each extra lock rekeyed on the same visit | +$20 to $35 |
| Fit a lock or deadbolt you supply | $110 to $160 |
| Supply and fit a deadbolt | $180 to $290 |
| Open a safe when the combination is lost | $180 to $420 |
Locked out? Here's what to do
Four things that make the visit quicker and cheaper. General guidance written for this concept site.
Check the doors and windows you can reach safely
Back door, garage, a window left on the latch. Please don't climb or break glass: a new pane usually costs more than opening a door.
Call us with the address
Tell us the kind of door and lock if you know it. You get the call-out price and an arrival time before you agree to anything.
Find your ID, or tell us it's inside
We check ID before anyone goes in. If it's inside, the locksmith opens the door and waits while you fetch it.
Wait somewhere safe and warm
A neighbour's, a café or your car. We text you when the locksmith sets off.
Call the shop
Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 9 pm. Sundays 9 am to 5 pm, lockouts only. Sample hours.
Call (555) 018-3341A child, a vulnerable adult or a pet locked inside, or something left on the stove? Call 911 first.
We check ID before we open a door
Anyone who calls about your door gets asked the same questions you do. Here's what we accept. Sample policy
Homeowners
Photo ID with the address on it. Or photo ID plus a bill or statement in your name for that address: utilities, property tax or your mortgage.
Tenants
Photo ID plus your lease, or a letter or email from your landlord or property manager. Before a lock change, check your lease: many say the landlord has to agree.
Businesses
Photo ID, and your name on the keyholder list we keep for that business. If you're not on it, we call the owner first.
Safes
Photo ID at the address where the safe is kept. For a business safe, the owner or a named manager has to be there.
If we can't confirm the property or the safe is yours, we don't open it, and you pay the call-out only. We'll tell you what would work instead, like a call to your landlord.
Keys for a small business
We draw up a key plan with you: who carries which key, and which doors each one opens.
| Key | Front door | Office | Stockroom | Cash office |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner (master key) | ||||
| Manager | ||||
| Staff |
- Restricted keys: only we can cut copies, and only for someone holding your signed card.
- A key register, so you know who has which key.
- When someone leaves without returning a key, we rekey the doors it opened.
- Front and back doors on one key for the people who open up.
Where we work
Everything inside the ring road at the standard call-out, and five villages around it for a small travel charge. Further out? Call and ask. Sample area

Questions before you book
Something else? Call the shop on (555) 018-3341. Answers describe sample policies.
Will you damage my door or lock?
Most locks open without damage. If yours has to be drilled, the locksmith tells you first, and the price you agree includes the new lock. Sample terms.
Can you come out at night?
The sample hours are Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 9 pm, and Sundays 9 am to 5 pm for lockouts only. Outside those hours the phone goes to voicemail. A live site would list the company's own hours.
I rent. Can I change the locks?
Check your lease first. Many leases say the landlord has to agree and keep a key. If they do, we can rekey and cut a copy for them.
Is rekeying cheaper than new locks?
Usually, yes. You keep the hardware and pay for new pins and the labour. If a lock is worn, or you want different hardware, replacing it makes more sense.
Are you licensed and insured?
This is a concept site, so it doesn't claim any licence or insurance. Some states license locksmiths; a live site would show its licence number and insurance details here.
Book a visit
For rekeying, new locks, business keys and safes. We call back to confirm a time and the call-out. This is a demo form, so nothing is sent. Concept
