What happens at your first visit
A first visit takes your session time plus about 15 minutes.
Before you come in
Fill in the intake form
We email it after you book. It takes about five minutes and tells your therapist where to focus and what to avoid.
10 minutes early
A short talk
Your therapist goes through your form with you, asks about pressure and answers any questions.
Your session
On the table
You undress in private and lie under a sheet. Your therapist knocks before coming back in.
Afterwards
Take your time
Get dressed at your own pace. There's water and a seat in the lounge, and you can book again at the desk or online.
Draping and consent
How you're covered during a massage, and how your therapist asks before anything changes.
You undress in privateTo whatever level you're comfortable with. Plenty of people keep their underwear on. If you'd rather stay clothed, we work over loose clothing.
Only the area being worked on is uncoveredYou lie under a sheet and a blanket. Your therapist folds back one area at a time, then covers it again.
Breasts and genitals are never uncovered or massagedThis applies to every session, including prenatal massage.
Your therapist asks firstBefore working near the glutes, upper chest or inner thigh, they ask. You can say no without giving a reason.
You can stop at any timeChange the pressure, skip an area or end the session whenever you like.
- “Lighter, please.”
- “A bit firmer there.”
- “Please skip my feet.”
- “Can you turn the music down?”
- “I'd like to stop now.”
Your therapist will ask how the pressure feels early on, then leave you in peace unless you speak up.

What should I wear?
Anything comfortable. You undress in private to the level you're comfortable with and stay under a sheet. If you'd rather stay clothed, wear soft, loose layers.
Do I have to talk during the massage?
Only if you want to. Most people talk about pressure and focus areas at the start, then go quiet. Your therapist checks in now and then.
Can I book if I have an injury or a health condition?
Tell us on your intake form. Your therapist may change the session or ask you to check with your doctor before you book. Massage isn't a replacement for medical care.
I'm pregnant. Can I book?
Yes, book a prenatal massage and tell us how many weeks along you are. If your midwife or doctor has told you to avoid massage, check with them first.
Can I choose a woman or a man as my therapist?
Yes. Pick a preference on the booking form and we'll match you.
Do you bill insurance?
No. We can give you an itemized receipt if you'd like to send it to your insurer yourself.
Should I tip?
Tips are welcome and never expected. You can add one when you pay. This is a sample policy.
