Every job keeps a history from the first call to the payment. When a customer rings back in March, anyone in the office can see what was done in October.

What Wrenboard does

Six parts that share the same jobs and customers, so nobody types an address twice.

  • Dispatch board

    Drag a job onto a technician's row. Drive time between jobs shows as a gap, so you can see when a day is too tight.

  • Technician app

    Today's jobs with directions, notes from the office, checklists, photos and the customer's signature.

  • Arrival texts

    When a technician taps "On my way", the customer gets a text with their first name and an arrival window.

  • Quotes and invoices

    Build a quote from your price book, turn it into a job, and invoice from the finished job. Customers can pay by card from a link.

  • Maintenance plans

    Set up a plan once, for example a tune-up every spring and fall, and Wrenboard books the visits ahead of time.

  • Timesheets

    Clock-ins and job times from the app add up to a weekly timesheet the office can check and export for payroll.

How setup works

Most of the work is ours. You send a spreadsheet and give us an hour of the office's time. Sample timings

  1. A demo with your own jobs

    Day 1

    Send us a day's schedule before the call and we load it into the demo board, so you see your own technicians and customers.

  2. We import your customers

    Days 2 to 4

    Send your customer list and price book as a spreadsheet. We do the import, then you check it before anyone uses it.

  3. Train the office, then the crew

    Day 5

    One hour on a video call for whoever dispatches. Technicians watch a five-minute video and sign in with their phone number.

  4. Run both for two weeks

    Weeks 2 and 3

    Keep the whiteboard up while you start on Wrenboard if it helps. Take it down when the office stops looking at it.

How we look after your data

You're trusting us with your customers' names, addresses and payment history. Here is what we do with it. Sample policy

  • Your data stays yours

    Export jobs, customers and invoices as CSV files whenever you like. After you cancel, export stays open for 60 days, then we delete your account data.

  • Who sees what

    Technicians see their own jobs and the customer details those jobs need. Office users see everything. Only owners can export or delete data.

  • Signing in

    Two-step sign-in is available to every user, and an owner can make it required for the whole company.

  • Encryption and backups

    Data is encrypted between the app and our servers and encrypted where it's stored. We back it up every night and keep backups for 30 days.

  • Card payments

    Card details go straight to the payment processor. Wrenboard never sees or stores full card numbers.

  • Questions from your IT person

    If your company has a security questionnaire, send it over and we'll answer it in writing.

Questions teams ask before switching

Do my technicians need new phones?

No. The app runs on iPhone and Android phones, and technicians sign in with their own phone number.

What happens when a technician has no signal?

Today's jobs are kept on the phone. Notes, photos and signatures save on the phone and upload when the signal comes back.

Do office staff cost extra?

No. You pay per technician in the field. Owners, dispatchers and office staff are free on every plan.

Can we bring our customer list across?

Yes. Send it as a spreadsheet, with your price book if you have one, and we do the first import for you.

Is there a contract?

Plans are month to month and you can cancel from the settings page. Paying yearly takes two months off the price.

Can we try it first?

Yes. The free trial lasts 14 days and doesn't need a card. The demo call is the quickest way to get a trial set up with your own jobs.
