Daycare and overnight boarding for dogs

Weekday daycare in small play groups, and boarding every night of the year. Every new dog starts with a meet-and-greet and a half-day assessment, so we know which group suits them.

  • Daycare Monday to Friday, 7 am to 7 pm
  • Boarding 365 nights a year, in rooms of their own
  • Play groups by size and play style

A day in daycare

A sample weekday. Times move a little with the weather, and dogs who need more rest get it. Sample schedule

Times shown are a sample weekday

  1. Drop-off

We check your dog in, swap their collar for a breakaway play collar and walk them out to their group.

    Happening now
  2. Morning play

Group play in the yards. Staff call short time-outs when play gets too rough or one dog needs a breather.

    Happening now
  3. Lunch

Dogs who eat at midday get the food you packed, in their own room.

    Happening now
  4. Rest time

Lights down and the doors stay quiet. Every dog naps in their own room with a raised bed.

    Happening now
  5. Afternoon play

Shorter play sessions, puzzle feeders and leashed sniff walks around the field.

    Happening now
  6. Pick-up

You get a short note on the day: who they played with, how well they rested and anything we noticed.

Play groups by size and play style

After the assessment we place each dog in one of four groups, and a staff member stays in the yard with every group. Sample groups and ratios

  • Small yard

Dogs under 25 lb. A smaller yard with low ramps and a tunnel, and play matched to short legs.

Up to 10 dogs with one staff member

  • Big yard

Dogs 25 lb and up who like to run, chase and wrestle. The bigger yard has a splash pad in summer.

Up to 12 dogs with one staff member

  • Quiet yard

Any size. Seniors, shy dogs and dogs who would rather sniff than wrestle. Shorter sessions and more breaks.

Up to 6 dogs with one staff member

  • Puppy mornings

Puppies from 16 weeks to 6 months who have finished their puppy shots. Mornings only, with naps built in.

Up to 6 puppies with one staff member

How new dogs start

Every dog has a temperament assessment before their first full day or their first stay with group play.

  1. Send us the paperwork

Your vet's vaccination record and the new-dog form, at least two days before you visit.

  2. Meet-and-greet, free

About 20 minutes. You and your dog meet a lead handler, walk through the building and see the yards and rooms.

  3. Half-day assessment

Your dog meets one calm dog first, then a small group. We watch body language, how they take breaks and how they react to being handled. Charged as a half day.

  4. We call you that afternoon

Which group they'll start in and anything we'll keep an eye on. If group play doesn't suit your dog, we'll tell you, and talk about boarding without it.

Before the assessment

  • At least 16 weeks old
  • Vaccinations up to date (see below)
  • Spayed or neutered by 7 months for group play
  • Tell us about any past bites or scuffles, so we can plan the first introduction

Vaccinations we need

Please send records from your vet clinic before the first visit: a photo of the certificate or an email from the clinic is fine. Sample policy

VaccineStatusHow often
RabiesRequiredEvery 1 or 3 years, as your vet gives it
DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus)RequiredAfter the puppy series, every 1 to 3 years
Bordetella (kennel cough)RequiredEvery 6 or 12 months, at least 2 days before the first visit
Canine influenza (H3N2 and H3N8)RecommendedTwo shots a few weeks apart, then once a year

We also ask for year-round flea and tick prevention. This list is a sample house policy and isn't veterinary advice, so ask your vet what your dog needs and when. Kennel cough can spread even between vaccinated dogs, so we'll call you if your dog starts coughing.

Questions owners ask

Anything else, call the front desk on (555) 019-2764.

Will my dog be tired after daycare?

Most dogs sleep well that evening. If yours comes home wound up instead, tell us and we'll add more rest breaks to their day.

Can you give my dog medicine?

Yes. Tablets and liquids by mouth are free, and insulin injections are $5 a dose. Bring the original bottle with your vet's directions. Sample prices.

What happens if my dog gets hurt or sick here?

Dogs who play together can get nicks and scrapes, and coughs can spread between vaccinated dogs much like a cold. If something needs a vet, we call you and take your dog to your own vet, or to the 24-hour emergency hospital if your vet is closed. Vet bills are paid by the owner.

Do you take dogs that aren't spayed or neutered?

Under 7 months, yes, in puppy mornings. After that we can board them, in their own room and without group play. This is a sample policy.

How far ahead should I book boarding?

For summer and the winter holidays, as soon as you know your dates. Holiday stays need a deposit of one night, which we refund if you cancel 14 days ahead.

Book a stay or a first visit

New dogs start with a free meet-and-greet. Dogs who have been before can book daycare days or boarding dates. This is a demo form, so nothing is sent.
