You look and tell us what to change
Your current site stays live the whole time. If you want changes, tell us. Two rounds of revisions per deliverable are included in the agreement.
You approve
A short form, then you review and e-sign the agreement and save a payment method. Read it first; there is no pressure to sign the moment you see it.
We switch your domain, last
We handle the DNS work and keep your business email working. Once the new site is confirmed, you can cancel your old builder plan yourself. Check its renewal date now so you are not paying for both longer than you need to.
What to have ready.
None of it has to be perfect. If you are missing something, we will help you find it.
- Your site address and, if you know it, the platform it is on.
- Who holds your domain (the company you pay for it) and whoever can log in there.
- What is tied to your domain, such as business email, a booking tool, a store or forms.
- Your logo and brand files, if you have them. If not, we can work from what is on your site.
- What to keep and what to drop: pages you love, pages nobody visits.
- Your builder plan's renewal date, so you can time the cancellation after the switch.
Before you switch.
Will my current site go down while you rebuild it?
The plan is that it never has to. Your current site stays live while we build and you review the new one. We point your domain at the new site last, once you have approved it. When a domain is switched, the change can take a while to reach every visitor, so for a short time some people may still see the old site. That is normal and harmless, and the old site is still there.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is guessing. Rankings can move after any redesign. What we do is keep page addresses where they make sense, set up redirects from the ones that change so old links keep working, and give every page a proper title and description.
Will my domain and business email keep working?
Yes, that is something we check before touching anything. If your email runs on your domain (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, for example), the DNS records that keep it working are preserved when we switch the site. If your domain is registered through your builder, it can stay there and simply be pointed at the new site, or we can help you transfer it.
Do you use my own words and photos?
Yes. The preview is built from the words, photos and reviews already on your site, so it looks like your business and not a template. You should own or have permission to use what is on your site; if something needs replacing, we will say so.
What does it cost?
Looking is free and carries no obligation: the report is free and so is a preview if your site is a good fit. For the build and ongoing support, the pricing page explains how it is calculated, and the request form gives you a number for your project before you sign anything.
Who owns the new website?
The agreement you review before signing covers this in plain terms. In short: once the fees for the website are paid in full, the website built for you is assigned to you, apart from EpicTech's own tools and open-source parts it is built on. The agreement is month-to-month, and either side can end it with 30 days' written notice.
Can I still edit my site myself?
Not the way you can in a drag-and-drop builder. Your site is built as standard code by our team, and you send changes to us instead of learning a page builder. If you love editing your own site, that is a real trade-off and we would rather tell you now.
What does the "See what we'd change" report actually do?
It loads your home page and a few other public pages the way any visitor or search engine would, and counts what it finds: page weight, titles, descriptions, image descriptions, odd addresses and so on. It uses no AI and stores nothing unless you choose to add your email. It cannot see anything behind a login, and it cannot judge design or wording. That takes a person.
