Advice

What makes a good fitness website.

  1. Say who you train

Beginners, over-50s, strength athletes, new parents: being specific helps the right people pick you.

  2. Show plans and prices

The Plans page has pricing cards. Say what each plan includes and how cancelling works.

  3. Introduce the coaches

Real photos, names and qualifications for each coach. The About page has a team section.

  4. Explain the first session

What happens, what to wear, how long it takes. The starter's "How it starts" checklist covers it.

  5. Keep claims honest

Avoid promising results, and only use a client's photos or story with their written OK.

The Full-Chair Playbook: Bookings, Rebooking and Reviews for Salons

  • Make booking effortless everywhere clients find you

Add a Book button to Instagram and keep one link everywhere

Instagram professional accounts can show a Book action button connected to a supported scheduling partner. If your platform isn't supported, put your booking link at the top of your bio. Use the same booking link on Google, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and your website so clients never land on an old or broken page. When you change platforms, update every one of these on the same day.

  • Cut no-shows without scaring off good clients

Show your policy before clients book, not after they miss

Write a short cancellation and no-show policy: how much notice you need, what happens if they miss, and how they can reschedule. Show it on the booking page, in the confirmation and in the reminder so nobody is surprised. Booking platforms such as Vagaro, GlossGenius and Square Appointments let you require a card or a deposit, often set per service. Use deposits for long or high-value services, like color, extensions or a 90-minute massage, and keep quick services low-friction.

  • Keep regulars coming back with rebooking, memberships and gift cards

Book the next visit before the client leaves

Every service has a natural cycle: a fade, a fill, a color refresh, a monthly massage, a weekly class. Know the typical interval for your top services and offer a specific date at checkout, like "Same time in five weeks?" Booking it now locks in the client's preferred slot. If they'd rather wait, ask whether you can send a reminder when it's time, and set it in your software.

  • Keep regulars coming back with rebooking, memberships and gift cards

Keep memberships and packages simple and easy to cancel

Memberships and packages can smooth out slow weeks, but only if clients understand them. Use one or two plans with a clear benefit, a clear monthly charge and a clear way to pause or cancel. Spell out what happens to unused visits. Many states have automatic-renewal laws with disclosure and cancellation requirements, so have your attorney review your terms before you launch or change a plan.

FAQ

Questions about a free fitness website

Can clients book sessions online?

Online booking is part of the website plan ($29 a month): visitors pick an open time and get a calendar invite. On a free website the booking section stays hidden, so visitors reach you through your contact form, phone or email instead. Switch the plan on whenever you want online booking.

Can I show membership plans?

Yes. The Plans page has a pricing section with a card for each plan (name, price, what is included) and questions underneath.

Can I add a class timetable?

Yes. List regular classes in a cards or tabs section, or add dated sessions with the Events section. Letting people reserve a spot (with a cap on places) is part of the website plan ($29 a month).

How much does it cost?

Nothing to build and publish: your site goes live free on its own name.epicte.ch address with HTTPS and a small "Made with EpicTech" line in the footer. No card needed. The website plan ($29 a month) adds your own domain, online booking, event RSVPs, newsletters, members-only pages and a download of your site, and removes that line. Cancel any time and the site stays live on its free address.
